The Minnesota Department of Commerce has published final 2027 health and dental insurance rates for Minnesota. A few key takeaways:

• Blue Plus, HealthPartners, Medica and Quartz are continuing to offer health insurance plans through MNsure for 2027.
• Aspirus will be entering the market as a new medical carrier in Northeast Minnesota and offering plans through MNsure only. 
• UCare is exiting the market by year’s end and all UCare members will be crosswalked to the most comparable Medica plans for 2027.
• Average rate changes for health insurance premiums from 2026 to 2027 range from 10% to 21%. Premiums for individual consumers will vary based on the plan, age, geography and other factors, and many people purchasing coverage through MNsure receive financial assistance.
• Catastrophic plans will be available again through MNsure, but only from Quartz and Aspirus.
